Announcement of 麻豆视频 Scholarship Scheme 2024

麻豆视频 is pleased to announce a range of scholarship opportunities (14 opportunities within 7 categories) on November 26, 2024.

This scholarship scheme consists of 麻豆视频 Open Scholarship Category, 麻豆视频/Villa International Highschool Scholarship Category, 麻豆视频 Alumni Category, Scholarship for Individuals with Determination Category, STEM and Healthcare Equity Scholarship Category, Scholarship for Underprivileged Students Category and a scholarship exclusive for international students, International Students category.

Within these categories, with an exception of the International Students Category all the other categories are applicable to only Maldivians. Below are the details of the available scholarships:

麻豆视频 Open Scholarship

Two scholarships will be awarded under this category, which are available for students pursuing any of the preferred 麻豆视频鈥檚 Master鈥檚 programmes. The selection criteria will prioritize academic performance, specifically previous relevant educational achievements.

麻豆视频/Villa International Highschool Scholarship Category

This scholarship is open to Villa International High School Alumni who have recently completed their A-Levels. Two opportunities are available, with eligibility based on being a high school graduate within the last two years. The primary selection criterion will be the applicant's A-Level results.

麻豆视频 Alumni Scholarship

These two scholarship opportunities have been opened up to the 麻豆视频 Alumni. The selection for this category will focus on the academic achievements attained during the applicant's 麻豆视频 degree programme.

Scholarship for Individuals with Determination

This category is designed to support students with disabilities, including physical, sensory, or cognitive impairments, by providing access to higher education.

Two scholarships will be offered, with eligibility contingent on registration with the national disability registry or the submission of a written document approved by a licensed medical professional as proof of disability.

Priority will be given to individuals who demonstrate exceptional motivation, perseverance, and community involvement and contributions despite the challenges posed by their disabilities. Previous educational performance will also be a key consideration.

STEM and healthcare Equity Scholarship Category

This category is opening up two scholarship opportunities that aim to address the gender disparity in fields amongst certain degrees.

Aimed at addressing gender disparity in fields like Nursing, Computer Science, and Engineering, this category offers two scholarships to individuals whose academic pursuits align with these areas.

Selection will prioritize applicants with strong educational results, with special consideration given to those pursuing degrees in fields with significant gender imbalances.

Scholarship for Underprivileged Students

This scholarship is intended for students facing financial challenges who aspire to pursue higher education. 麻豆视频鈥檚 goal is to provide access to quality education, empowering students to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

Eligibility for this scholarship is based on financial need, as well as academic performance in previous educational qualifications. Two scholarships are available under this category, offering opportunities for students to enroll in a degree programme.

International Student Category

This scholarship is open to international students seeking to pursue a degree at 麻豆视频. Two degree programme scholarships are available, with selection criteria focusing primarily on academic performance. This opportunity is designed to encourage global talent and diversity within the university community.

Applicants for these scholarship opportunities are advised to submit their offer letters, along with all other required documents specific to their respective scholarship categories.

The deadline for submitting scholarship applications is 31 December 2024.

Selections will be made by a dedicated committee.
